How to Retire Rich : Time-Tested Strategies to Beat the Market and Retire in Style ~ Usually ships in 24 hours James O'Shaughnessy / Hardcover / Published 1997Rating: 7 of 10
This is a book about picking between 25-50 individual stocks to beat the average stock market returns. Mr. O'Shaughnessy's basic approach is to have you pick stocks with lower price to earnings ratios (PEs) and use dollar cost averaging to stay in the market over the long haul. Your are supposed to review your holdings at least once a year and replace stocks that no longer meet the low PE requirements. Overall it is a fairly low risk strategy, but should not be a new idea to the experienced investor.
Recommended for: The intermediate investor that wants to invest in individual stocks. Beginning investors should stick to no-load mutual funds. This book is not for people that get jumpy when the stock market falls, as his theory is that you stay fully invested and buy into the lows.
